Acrylic Painting Mediums & Methods
A Contemporary Guide to Materials, Techniques and Applications
Almost ten years after the publication of my second book, this third acrylics book was something I’d been wanting to produce since the beginning. To date, there were no books that focused solely on the profuse and varied materials produced to enhance the acrylic painting experience and resulting artwork. Acrylic mediums and additives, until then, had been a subject relagated to single chapters or mentioned in a cursory manner in other instructional books. It became my mission to explain the minutiae of these amazing tools, and educate the painting community of their benefits.
Working as always, with Tri-Art Mfg, photographer, Jonathan Sugarman, and photo stylist Grace Paulionis, we got stuck in and produced probably my favourite book of the series.
This one was published by The Monacelli Press, a division of Phaidon at the request of the late great editor, Victoria Craven.
